Gyan privileged to earn commendation from Lionel Messi

Ghana captain Asamoah says he feels honoured to earn praises of Barcelona star Lionel Messi. Messi is reported to have described the Ghanaian international as one of the best goal scorers in an interview with 90 minutes extra. The Black Stars attacker has scored 48 goals in 95 appearances for the Black Stars.

The 30-year-old has also scored six World Cup goals making him the highest African goal scorer at the Mundial. Gyan who has returned to the country after sustaining an injury at his Club Shanghai SIPG is privileged to earn recognition from the five-time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner. “I feel very honoured to be recognized by a player like him,

 I was surprised when I heard it,” he told pressmen. “So I will say am very honoured and happy to earn praises from a player who has won the Ballon d’Or five times.” Gyan has been ruled out of the Black Stars double header against Guinea and Mauritius respectively.
