Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has been captured in a ‘wedding’ photo with a Nigerian TV star, Ani Chinedu Michael popularly called Nedu. Nedu on Tuesday afternoon posted the photo on his Instagram and commented, “To God be the glory,” giving the impression that they just had a secret ‘wedding.’<br />

He quickly started receiving congratulatory messages from some of his followers. Interestingly the beautiful and outspoken Ghanaian actress reciprocated by posting the same photo minutes later on her page to confirm.<br />

Lydia Forson, according to checks has been staying in Nigeria for over two weeks now and that has given more credibility to a likely “secret wedding.”<br />
<br />
The ‘wedding’ photo however popped up not long after Lydia has been attending red carpet ceremonies in Ghana with a certain Ghanaian footballer.<br />

Vociferous Ghanaian fetish Priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam has told africasell.com that, he intends storming the two popular Men of God churches to formerly inform them of the death and funeral his mother,Obaapanin Mavis Appiah.<br />

Speaking to our reporter, Nana Kwaku Bonsam said he would defy all warnings and storm their churches with the information irrespectively of their strained relationship between the three spiritualists.<br />

He disclosed that, he would visit them with his dreadlocks and other traditional custom to dispel any would be spiritual attack in the church, maintaining he does not want to rekindle old wounds since his mission is a peaceful one. He said, ” I want to visit myself to let them know that, I have no issue with them. I could have sent the invitation letter to them by some other people but I want to use the occasion to smoke peace pipe with the two. I want to visit them during church service too”.<br />

He indicated he has not been in good terms with the two Men of God for sometime now but insisted that none of them would kick me out. Also Read  President John Mahama’s 2015 New Year Message Nana Kwaku Bonsam picked a quarrel with Prophet One of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center about eight years ago when he dared him for a spiritual showdown at the Kumasi Jackson Park, where the latter refused to honour the invitation.<br />

On the part of Bishop Obinim, the Kofo oo Kofi lord poked him recently when Obinim’s issue cropped up over the source of his power. Obaapanin Mavis Appiah, the mother of Nana Kwaku died about three years ago but she was kept in a morgue until now. She is expected to be buried on 18th August 2016 at Afrancho near Akomadanin the Ashanti Region of Ghana.<br />

UNIBANK has donated 100,000 cedis to the three women’s football teams. The donation followed an appeal made to the bank by Nana Aba Anamoah and Sandra Ankobiah. Presenting the cheque, Executive director, Finance, Retail and Strategy, Ekow Nyarko Dadzie-Dennis at Unibank said: ‘Unibank believes in the development of sports.<br />

This is a token to show our commitment to the 3 national women’s teams. We hope to commit more to the teams in the nearest future and urge others to assist in raising funds for them’ Nana Aba and Sandra expressed gratitude to the bank and urged other corporate institutions to emulate.<br />

Present at the presentation were the legal director and deputy accountant of the sports ministry.<br />
It will be recalled that the ministry of youth and sports earlier this year tasked the two personalities to help raise funds for the 3 national women football teams whose plight has yet to receive major attention.<br />

The founder of the National Democratic Party (NDP) and wife of Ghana’s former President Jerry John Rawlings has revealed that she does not miss being a First Lady.<br />
<br />
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings said even though she misses the high life of traveling around the world with her husband to negotiate deals for Ghana, she hasn’t missed the pressures of being a First Lady since they left office in 2000.<br />
<br />

“I don’t [miss being the First Lady] because I don’t think I was doing anything that was extra that I am not doing now,” the founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement told Bola Ray host of Starr Chat Wednesday. She added “…to be able to travel with my husband and look for finance for Ghana because when I go out I am not going to enjoy myself, I am looking for companies that are coming to help with hospitals, institutions that can help us develop certain skills for Ghanaian youth, now it is not like that anymore and I do miss that.” Nana Konadu was born on November 17, 1948.<br />
<br />
<br />
She attended Achimota School in Accra and later continued at the University of Science and Technology, where she read Arts, specializing in Textiles. She was a student leader and an executive of her Hall of residence, Africa Hall.<br />
<br />
She got married to former President JJ Rawlings in 1977. She gave birth to her first child in 1978. She has three daughters and a son followed later. She is the flagbearer of the National Democratic Party.<br />

Two people have been arrested by the Ejisu Police in the Ashanti Region for reportedly hooting at the president and hurling stones at his convoy.<br />
<br />
The two, whose names have yet to be disclosed were part of an army of protesters who had lined up on the streets of Ejisu and adjoining communities where the president had gone to inspect some development projects as part of his accounting to the people tour.<br />
<br />
It is not clear yet, the motive for their hooting at the president, Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah reported. According to him, the Parliamentary Candidate for Ejisu, Gloria Huze who was part of the convoy sustained minor injuries from the stone attacks. Her car also suffered minor dents from the stones. She has since reported the attacks to the police.<br />
<br />
The Ejisu Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Laare Baman confirmed the attack on the president’s convoy as well as the arrest of the two but will not give any further details. In the absence of information, the officials of the NDC are accusing the largest opposition party, the New Patriotic Party of masterminding the attacks on the president’s convoy.<br />
<br />
According to the Regional Secretary of the governing party, Raymond Tandoh, one of the officials of the NPP in the Ejisu constituency has admitted to being part of those hooting at the president but that cannot be independently verified. “It is quite unfortunate and we are going to take the matter up,” he said. Asked who may have been behind the attacks, Mr. Tandoh said “It is the NPP of course. The youth organiser of the NPP has spoken that he was part of the group. So who else?” Mr. Raymond Tandoh wants the police to immediately open an investigation into the attacks he described as unwarranted.<br />
<br />

He wondered why anybody would want to attack the president and his convoy for embarking on a project that will benefit the whole country. “The project is not for NDC people. It is for people in Ashanti Region. I don’t know why the president wants to do this beautiful thing and you will come and hoot at him.”<br />
<br />
 According to him, this is not the first time the president’s convoy has suffered hoots from NPP fanatics. He cited a similar incident he claimed happened at Bantama. Officials of the opposition party are yet to comment on the matter.<br />
<br />
Efforts to get a reaction from them have been unsuccessful for now. Meanwhile, the president will be commissioning one of his community day Senior High School and pay an executive call on the Asantehene later today.<br />

Maverick lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong has warned that there will be chaos in Ghana if the Electoral Commission attempts to cheat the NPP flagbearer in the upcoming elections. According to him, the party will not allow the EC to declare President John Mahama winner of the polls, if there is evidence that Nana Akufo-Addo is the actual winner in the ballot, expected to be held in November.<br />

Addressing supporters of the elephant family in Kumasi, the Assin North MP also accused the chairperson of electoral commission of exchanging her womanhood for the position. “If Charlotte declares Mahama winner, that day; make nobody make a mistake, Liberians were peaceful, Sierra Leoneans were peaceful but when they got to that point….all die be die,” he charged .<br />

He continued: “If she attempts to steal the vote, if they haven’t thought of it, they should. If the pink sheet suggests that Nana Addo has won and they try to declare Mahama winner; it will never happen. That day, if you are pastor stay home, if you are not a man, stay home, we will fight to defend this country. I am confident Ghanaians will vote for the NPP but the electoral commission has decided to cheat us.<br />

As the judges said, we will not allow them to plunge this country into chaos. Ghana goes to the polls in November to elect a president and parliamentary candidates. The frontrunners are President John Mahama of the ruling National Democratic Congress and Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party. This is the third time Akufo-Addo is making an attempt at the presidency haven been beaten earlier by the late John Atta Mills in 2008.<br />

Former college student who gave birth in her sorority house last year was on Monday, June 27, sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing the newborn by throwing her in the trash.<br />
<br />
Emile Weaver, 21, of Clarington was found guilty by a jury last month of aggravated murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence.<br />
Prosecutors said Weaver gave birth in a bathroom at the Delta Gamma Theta sorority at Muskingum University on April 22, 2015, then purposefully caused the death of her baby.<br />
<br />
The baby girl died from asphyxiation after Weaver put her in a plastic trash bag and left the bag outside the sorority house.<br />
<br />
Weaver testified at trial that she had been in denial about the pregnancy and thought the baby was already dead when she put the newborn in the trash bag. She tearfully apologized in court and said she will appeal the sentence.<br />
<br />
Judge Mark Fleegle could have sentenced Weaver to life with a chance for parole in as little as 20 years, which was requested by her attorney, but the judge said he wasn't convinced she was remorseful.<br />
<br />

Fleegle referred to text messages from Weaver sent afterward to the man she thought was the baby's father that said, "No more baby," followed by "taken care of."<br />
<br />
Prosecutors said at trial that Weaver knew she was pregnant all along and engaged in risky behaviors like drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana, and playing in a dodgeball tournament because she never intended to keep the baby.<br />
<br />
Weaver wrote in a letter to Fleegle before her sentencing that she didn't fully comprehend her actions until she was staring at the body of the baby, who was named Addison, in a tiny casket at her funeral.<br />
<br />
"I ask God for forgiveness, and today, all I can do is ask for all of yours," she said in court.<br />
<br />
At the beginning of the trial, Weaver had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but the judge ruled that she was mentally competent.<br />
<br />
Muskingum County Prosecutor D. Michael Haddox said he was satisfied with the sentence.<br />
<br />
"We believe justice has been served as best as humanly possible," he said.<br />

Controversial New Patriotic Party (NPP) member of parliament (MP) Kennedy Agyapong has alleged that the chairman of the electoral commission, Charlotte Osei got appointed as EC boss after having sex with some bigwigs in government.<br />

“Charlotte Osei, bring your buttocks (sexual affair) in exchange of EC Chair position (fa woto be gye golf),” he alleged.<br />

Addressing a cross-section of party supporters at Asokwa during a campaign by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Kumasi, Kennedy Agyepong says the party would not accept defeat should the ”incompetent” electoral commissioner ”twists the election results” in favour of the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC).<br />
<br />
“If indeed Nana Addo wins according to the pink sheets and Charlotte Osei dares to rig the elections by twisting our arms in favour of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), we will not allow it to happen in Ghana,” he warned.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, the electoral commission has been ordered by the supreme court to provide the names of all voters who registered with their national health insurance cards by July 29.<br />

Real men are those who are able to restrain their sexual desires, Pastor Mensa Otabil has said.<br />

According to him, a man is one who takes responsibility for his actions and curtails his sexual craving. “A man must learn to restrain his sexual desires when he is becoming a man because when you are a teenager, your sexual instincts will become very wild, your mind will paint all kinds of pictures, your body will play havoc on you, your hormones are imbalanced, but what makes you a man is not just expressing what you feel, it is controlling what you feel, because people sometimes say:<br />

‘Well, if you feel it do it…but that doesn’t show you as a man, it shows you as a person who has no self-control. So, why do we think that when it comes to sexual instincts, if you feel it and do it, you are a man? No. It means you don’t have self-control. …It’s one of the most nonsensical things I’ve ever heard,” he said on Father’s Day June 19, 2016. “So, the process of becoming a man is that you learn to control your impulses.<br />

Things that are driving you hard, you learn to control it. …Unfortunately many boys never become men, they may grow in age and be 60 and they are still boys. They still play with their toys,” he added. Dr Otabil said: “If you don’t learn to become a man and [you] become a husband, it becomes ‘the boy becomes a husband,’ but the normal process [is that] ‘a boy becomes a man [and] a man becomes a husband’.<br />
<br />
When you learn to become a husband, you learn to give of yourself. Marriage makes you grow through sharing, if you don’t know how to share, you are going to be in marriage and be selfish; anytime you are upset, you pick your toys and go into your room. Instead of sharing your life, you just want to have fun.<br />

And there are some men who never grow, always having fun…meeting old school mates and having fun.” Dr Otabil taught his congregation that it was wrong for husbands and fathers to be always fraternising with their friends and former classmates instead of spending time with their wives at home.<br />

In his view, even though ‘it’s OK if you meet once every ten years with your old schoolmates and remember how it was when you were in school,” “you can’t do it every Saturday,” adding: “Life is too serious, you can’t meet your schoolmates every Saturday and calling yourselves nicknames and trying to recreate your youth and eat all the food you used to eat and telling stories.<br />

How long are you going to eat that food and tell those stories? Stop! You are not a boy, you are a man and you are a husband, stop playing! You did it when you were a teenager, now you are married to somebody… and you’ve put your name on her, she’s called ‘Mrs your name’. That’s a serious responsibility when somebody is called ‘your name’.<br />

You’ve overthrown her father, and you’ve taken her father’s place, so, you got to behave seriously. I mean somebody’s life investment has been put in your hands. Don’t take it easily. Don’t just say: ‘You are my wife’. Do you know what it means? It means you are going to share your money”. “So, boy becomes a man, man becomes husband, [and the] third process [is that] husband becomes father. When you become a father, you learn to live and give beyond yourself.<br />

When you marry, you give of yourself, when you have a child, you give beyond yourself. When you have a child, you know that life goes beyond you, children are the extension of yourself to the next generation, but they are also going to demand from you more than you think you are capable of. …To be a man is not easy, I mean you can’t bring a child into the world and say: ‘Oh, as for me, I like babies!’ They [babies] are expensive; for your information they cost money,” Dr Otabil said.<br />
