Highlife artiste, Bisa Kdei, has revealed that he spent an estimated GH¢18,000 to produce his ‘brother brother’ music video. The amount, he said was the total cost of the video of one of his hit tracks.

Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong is on record to have described the ‘brother brother’ music video as one which is below standard. “Artistes don’t spend a lot of money on their music videos.

I have been watching some clips. Bisa Kdei’s ‘Brother Brother’ is a beautiful song but the problem I have with him is that the video clip is not nice. Honestly, I watched the video and I was like, ‘how’? he said in an interview on Hitz FM in May 2016.

Reacting to this comment, the man who described himself as ‘one of the strongest pillars in highlife music currently’ said the MP was entitled to his opinion. He has no qualms with the legislator for the sharp criticism of his work as he is entitled to his views. Bisa Kdei who was on Adom FM’s mid-morning show, ‘Work and Happiness’ on Thursday said he rather brought out that which he deemed fit for the market. “That’s his opinion, I brought out what I have in me and he has every right to judge it…it was a good video…

I spent GH¢18,000 to produce that video…,” he said. He, however, asked his fans to be patient with him as “I have never gotten to where I want to be.” Highlife greats like Nana Ampadu and others, he said are his mentors.
