The euphoria of the 2016 Campaigns with catchy advertisements and musical tracks composed by the various political parties to woo voters is gradually heating up. Barely a fortnight after controversial boxer Braimah Kamoko alias Bokum Banku released a track backing the candidature and reelection bid of President John Dramani Mahama, one Zabel has also released a track titled “Johnny Must Go” It is gathered that the song is meant to aid the campaign of the Patriotic Party (NPP).
Before its release, there was a high sense of frustration with majority of Ghanaians wishing they could pull the election day to tomorrow instead of November when they get to put an inexorable end to the ‘John’ administration. Somewhat, this song appears soothing to calm the growing tension.
The song – already going viral – which agrees to rival Daddy Lumba’s 2008 campaign hit song ‘Nana oye winner’ wasn’t given the entire chance to fully mature in incubation. Despite its imperfection, it is marvelous to the listening ears. This song by Zabel is labeled ‘Johnny must go’.
Have a listen.
