 30th April, 2016 will forever go down in the minds of KNUST students as multiple award-winning hiphop act, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie shared stage with business mogul, Captain Rtd Prince Kofi Amoabeng as they inspired KNUST students with their exploits, their success story and more.


The event took place at the KNUST's Great Hall and was hosted by Starr Fm's Anita Erskine. Sarkodie talked about his music, his relationship life, his dream and more.

On where he sees himself in the coming years, he said, “I see myself in the next years doing music for the fun and not the income as well as giving back to society.

Talking about his dreams, he said, “If you have an idea, it has to be positive. Have a dream and stay focus. You can have friends but your dream is your dream. Stop trying to impress people and focus on your dream.”


Walking the students through how the Ghanaian music industry is as well as the challenges, he made the students aware that he faces the same problem as other artistes but he put in the work as well so he hardly complain.

He said, “ I go through all the problems as all other artistes. Some complain about them but I don’t complain because I love them.”

On his worst fear in life, Sarkodie reveals that his worst fear comes more from how he will end his career more or less ending it leaving an indelible ink in the hearts of all and sundry.

He ended his lecturing by performing songs  such as Hand 2 mouth, SarkCess story to the admiration of the students.
